Senior iOS Engineer (Relocation to Paris)

French Top 1 fast-growing social network company is seeking an iOS Principal Engineer to join.

Please note that this position requires relocation to Paris (company covers relocation needs).

You will participate in all design and product decisions in this fast-growing product company.

You will collaborate closely with the founding team, gradually assuming responsibility for key components and features. As we’re in the early stages, we’re looking for adaptable engineers comfortable contributing to different aspects of the company’s groundwork.

As an iOS engineer, your will:

1. be accountable for crafting innovative UI and features in a dynamic setting. Expect to explore advanced shader usage on iOS for creating captivating effects on various media.
2. engage in enhancing the platform to boost the productivity and quality of the entire development team’s work. This involves tasks like synchronizing a code-generated library for managing config settings between server and client.
3. actively contribute to shaping the roadmap and brainstorming sessions. Your input in identifying optimal tradeoffs and offering product and engineering insights will be valued.
4. embrace a culture of continuous learning by staying updated on backend engineering trends and best practices. You’ll be encouraged to attend conferences, engage in online communities, and share your insights with the team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of practical involvement in iOS development utilizing Swift or Objective-C.
• 8+ years of experience in the creation and deployment of software products.
• Solid grasp of fundamental computer system principles such as memory management, cache optimization, linking, and multithreading.
• Previous professional or academic exposure to low-level languages like C, C++, or Rust is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with Graphics Programming utilizing OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal is considered an additional asset.
• Enthusiasm and history in developing consumer-oriented products are appreciated. Feel free to share details about apps you’ve created!
• English B2+ is a must!
