ProSights: AI Data Migration for PE-Backed Companies

ProSights currently positions itself as an AI-native data migration and transformation partner for private-equity-backed companies. That is more specific than its earlier description as an AI-native operating system for investment firms, and it changes how prospective customers should evaluate the business.

What ProSights does today

The company's website describes three areas of work: consolidating systems after acquisitions, building data pipelines that keep information synchronized, and turning paper or spreadsheet processes into operating applications. It highlights customer, contract and financial data as examples of information that must be reconciled when businesses are combined.

Its Y Combinator profile similarly emphasizes data and AI transformation for portfolio companies. The original investment-firm workflow positioning remains useful historical context, but it should not be mistaken for a complete description of the current offer.

Why acquisition integration is a distinct problem

Our analysis: combining businesses is not just a file-transfer exercise. Two companies can use the same customer name for different legal entities, describe equivalent services differently, or record revenue on incompatible schedules. Moving those records without resolving their meaning can preserve the original confusion in a newer system.

A useful migration engagement therefore needs explicit acceptance criteria. Which records were matched? Which discrepancies remain unresolved? Who approved the mapping? What happens to transactions created while migration is underway? These questions help distinguish a functioning operational integration from a one-time data import.

How to assess the fit

A portfolio company considering ProSights should start with one bounded workflow, such as consolidating customer accounts or reconciling a contract dataset. Ask for a reviewable exception list, agreed reconciliation checks, and a clear handover process. Also establish who maintains the resulting pipelines and applications after the initial work ends.

The relevant outcome is dependable operational data, not the number of AI features in a presentation. ProSights' current focus is most clearly understood through that lens: bringing fragmented business information into usable systems. Implementation scope, delivery responsibilities and ongoing support should be confirmed directly for each engagement.
