A pre-construction platform is currently searching for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to contribute to the management of its AWS-based application and data lake compute infrastructure. The position involves a range of responsibilities, including IaC development, scripting, server administration, network management, storage management, code deployments, and system monitoring.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deploy, oversee, and supervise cloud assets such as EC2, Docker, Lambda, RDS, S3, and EBS to ensure alignment with company SLAs.
• Maintain system security by promptly addressing emerging vulnerabilities.
• Generate and sustain reusable templates and code for automating the delivery and deployment processes across diverse cloud providers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including developers, architects, security specialists, and fellow cloud engineers, to establish and uphold SysOps standards, best practices, and procedures.
• Recognize manual processes and implement automation solutions using cloud-native services.
• Develop and sustain comprehensive technical documentation, encompassing knowledge base articles and best practices.
• Offer third-tier support to operations and support teams, resolving issues linked to cloud infrastructure and deployments.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, assessing and suggesting new tools, services, and methodologies to enhance the overall SysOps process.

Skills and Requirements:

• Over 6 years of recent hands-on experience in AWS, utilizing EC2, Docker, Lambda, RDS, S3, and EBS; with at least 4 years at a senior level.
• Preferably holds a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Mandatory AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash within Linux environments.
• Over 4 years of experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Laravel, Mongo, CloudWatch, and DataDog.
• Over 4 years of experience in AWS, including VPC design, AWS subnet and routing design, gateway design, security group design, ALB design, WAF implementation, and bandwidth cost analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; CloudFormation proficiency is a plus.
• Self-starter with strong technical and problem-solving skills, capable of delivering success with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• Excellent time management skills and a willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
