We’re looking for a Technical Artist to help us build our Unreal Engine 5 cutting-edge AAA augmented reality and AI experience for Apple Reality Glasses. We are looking for someone who has a drive for learning and growth and has been exposed to various different elements through their journey. You will bridge the gap between artists and engineers, creating and maintaining tools and pipelines for efficient production.

What you will do

● Supporting the art and animation team with editor tooling ( Unreal, Maya, etc… )
● Ownership of the pipeline development for our various tools and systems
● Asset integration into Unreal Engine
● Researching and implementing new techniques and procedures to improve game asset integration and quality
● Helping improve and refine shader and texture quality
● Analyzing and improving art asset efficiencies & performance
● Ownership of the base Technical Art setup of the project, you need to have done this before
● User Interface development in Unreal Engine

What you need to succeed

● Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and Maya
● Scripting skills and fluency in Python and Maya Python API
● Shader development experience
● Strong understanding of art and animation pipelines
● Experience with game physics and dynamic animation systems
● Have shipped at least one AAA title in a Technical Artist position
● C++ is a big plus
● Character rigging and related rigging and animation tools experience is a plus
